Trust seals are important to web-site owners and developers.
64Trust seals are important to your website!!
Why do we care to put trust seals on our websites??
Trust seals on a website increase your conversion rates. If you own a website or if you are designing a website you need to know that when the site you have shows trust seals on it you will see the conversion rates on this site increase!!! Which is why most of us have websites, right?
There are several different types of trust seals available:
Security Seal- this is the most important seal to buyers so therefore website owners. This seal verifies that the website is using a valid 128 bit SSL encryption all all pages where private information is entered.
Privacy Seal- I didn't know how important this seal was until I started paying more attention to the privacy policies of companies. This seal verifies that the companies privacy policy meets the criteria for protecting the customers personal information.
Business Verified Seal- This seal verifies the companies physical address and telephone numbers.
In order for your customers to feel more secure you need to have these trust seals on your site. One company offers all three trust seals at a very competitive price for us!
Trust-Guard is being recognized by more online shoppers as their "peace of mind" which means more sales for the site that these are on!!

I particularly found the link to the university study interesting. Way to go getting the word out about the value of these seals! Retailers with online sites don't always realize how important a third party's seal of approval is to their customers. Crimes like ID theft are just too easy to perpetrate online. Online shoppers should, and usually do, require a second assurance that they aren't being scammed before they buy. Way to go!
Trust Seals have been reported to be a "scam" or an unnecessary thing for your website. I love the link to the university report that validates that use of trust seals as important to conversion! I will never go without trust seals on my websites again!
